The ESF Plus is a four stage filtration unit designed to reduce or eliminate chlorine, heavy metals, trace iron, trace hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell), and any taste and odor troubling your water. The ultra violet system also protects your water from any cysts, bacteria, viruses and any foreign organic material found in tap water. This filter system also prevents scale (hard water build up) in your pipes, water heaters, and faucets. You get the same benefits from the ESF Plus as a traditional salt based water softener, but without using any chemicals.
How it works
Stage #1
The raw water first enters a 4 x 20” nano ceramic sub micron sediment filter which filters out any suspended solids from the water down to 0.2 micro particles. http://www.argonide.com/
Stage #2
Water then enters a 4 x 20” KDF/activated carbon filter. KDF media takes out chlorine and chloramines in the water and any trace heavy metals. The activated carbon removes any chlorine not absorbed by the KDF and hides

Stage #4
The water then enters our patented device called the ESF. By using a 3-step process, the ESF removes the harmful effects of Hard Water without the use of chemicals or sodium.
The incoming water passes through a spring-loaded chamber, this creates
a small pressure drop. This pressure drop initiates the formation of calcium hardness crystals.
The calcium hardness crystals pass through a catalytic surface which
greatly multiplies the number of crystals. It is the last two steps (pressure
drop & catalytic surface) that sets our patented process apart from similar products.
The multitude of calcium crystals pass through a strong magnetic field which serves to hold the crystals in suspended form for 24 to 72 hours in duration.
The entire process binds calcium particles to each other rather than to your plumbing and plumbing fixtures. All that is needed is a damp cloth to remove any residual mineral deposits that may occur rather than usual abrasives normally required. It also results in less soap usage and also creates a lower surface tension in the water, which is excellent for plants and your personal health. Filter life 15 years.
