The Virgin Maxicure filter system is a top of the line multi-purpose filter. This multi-media filter is primarily used on well water applications. Along with filtering well water the Virgin Maxicure prevents hard water scale in pipes and water heaters using no salt or chemicals. This saves you time and money on replacement parts for your home. Hard water scale is prevented by this four step process.
1st Step: Untreated water enters the system flowing through multiple layers of
filtration reducing the level of chlorine, volatile organics, THMs, off tastes
and odors, sediment, suspended solids, iron, manganese, and hydrogen
sulfide (rotten egg smell).
2nd Step: The filtered water passes through a spring-loaded chamber, which creates
a small pressure drop. This pressure drop initiates the formation of calcium
hardness crystals.
3rd Step: The calcium hardness crystals pass through a catalytic surface which
greatly multiplies the number of crystals. It is the last two steps (pressure
drop & catalytic surface) that sets our patented process apart from similar
products.
4th Step: The multitude of calcium crystals pass through a strong magnetic
field which serves to hold the crystals in suspended form for 24 to 72
hours in duration.
The entire process binds calcium particles to each other rather than to your plumbing and plumbing fixtures. All that is needed is a damp cloth to remove any residual mineral deposits that may occur rather than usual abrasives normally required. A Naturally mined ore, Pyrolox is a mineral form of manganese dioxide which has been used in water treatment for more than 75 years. Pyrolox is a granular filtration media for hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese reduction. Pyrolox functions as a catalyst, but itself remains relatively unchanged. Pyrolox works on a principle whereby the hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese are oxidized and trapped on the media while simple backwashing cleans the bed. No chemical regeneration is required, nothing is imparted into the drinking water and Pyrolox has a high capacity for low contaminant concentrations. Pyrolox can be used in conjunction with aeration, chlorination, ozone or other pretreatment methods for difficult applications. Chlorine or other oxidants accelerate the catalytic reaction.

How is your product different from traditional water softeners?
Most water hardness treatment systems rely on sodium ion exchange, which can be harmful to both people and the environment. While ion exchange systems substitute salt (sodium) for calcium, the Maxi-Cure system transforms calcium from a dissolved state to a solid state. Calcium, in the solid state, provides all the beneficial effects to the human body but eliminates all the harmful economic effects in terms of scaled plumbing and increased soap usage.
What is your product used for?
The Maxi-Cure has several uses. It is primarily used for residential applications where superior water is desired for both taste and functional use. It is also used for commercial applications where scale prevention is required.
How is your product sold?
The Maxi-Cure is sold exclusively through our manufacturing plant. That means no pushy sales people for you to deal with. Also because there is no middle man you save hundreds of dollars.
What is special about this system?
Aside from our patented catalytic/magnetic process, the Maxi-Cure is unique in the following ways:
1.Only one piece of equipment is needed for multiple water problems. This actually can create an overall cost savings.

If the Maxi-Cure does not use chemicals or sodium, what does it use?
Just water! The Maxi-Cure creates an alternate state of the water – it does not add anything to it.
How much water does it use?
Not much. It will use approximately 30 gallons once per week to automatically backwash itself. This backwashing process lifts away all the suspended particles that have been captured in the filter bed and washes them down the drain.
Will the water test soft after the system is installed?
No. Remember that the calcium is still present but in solid form. Probably the best way to describe it is to make the analogy of a bathtub full of water and in the corner are solid crystals of calcium, which are present but not interfering with the benefits of bathing in virtual soft water.
Won’t the calcium crystals revert back to the harmful dissolved state in my water heater?
Again, the calcium crystals will remain suspended for approximately 24 to 72 hours.
Normal water usage indicates that a typical household will turn the hot water over in a correctly sized water heater at least once per day. This means that the suspended calcium crystals will be washed down the drain before they have the chance to revert back to a dissolved state.
If this is such a great product, why isn’t every company selling it?
Other companies are selling magnetic devices that strap onto the main line supply to your home. These systems are rarely effective and lack the ingenuity of the
Maxi-Cure which also incorporates a pressure drop and a catalytic chamber. Patent law also protects the Maxi-Cure process.
